My husband and I have a small family business. We are a canoe outfitter and have our own private grounds for parties, weddings, fudraiser events, etc. We have a still water area that is a nice no commitment opportunity for families to try out canoeing, and for parents to see how their child may enjoy this peaceful activity. We have our regulars that come every season, boy scouts, girl scouts, families, etc. We also regularly accomodate a group from the Camp Hill Special school in Glenmoore. Boy do those counselors get a workout! But it seems the kids really enjoy their trip downstream, and the group returns every year with some of the same kids, and some new-comers.
I am just reaching out, feeling the waters to see if this would be an activity that would be feesible. It was my husband's idea, and we do have friends with children on the spectrum that do enjoy this time in nature.
As I mentioned, we have a 26 acre private grounds along the Brandywine that is a fabulous place to hold an event, and if you are looking for a place to have a fundraiser, check us out.

I am putting together a task oriented group that is looking for activities for their kids who are on the autism spectrum. I would love to find out how much you charge for a group of say 15 children-young adults that are accompanied by parents. I would love to add you info to the list of pending activities to investigate. My cell ph. # is 484-886-7531
Thanks!
