Linked is an article about autism and vaccines,  Many parents believe that there is a link between the two and there was a published study that agreed.  According to recent news this report was fraud.  Who do we believe?  Should parents vaccinate their children?

It is so easy for people to make the argument that "we were all vaccinated, and we're fine". The reality is, we were all vaccinated with 10 or less immunizations, not 40.

Wakefield has been the strawman in the anti- or safe vaccination movement. The fact of the matter is, his study was a very small one, some say unethical, but has been replicated with the same outcomes. Wakefield unfortunately seems to be suaded by money, a problem found across the board at the CDC, FDA, lawmakers, and the manufacturers of the vaccines themselves. It is unfortunate that this has become such a diversion from getting some real answers.

This is what kills me about this subject! The FDA has their set daily limits for exposure to aluminum, for example, but when it comes to vaccines, they are exempt from these guidelines! Until the greed is taken out of the equation, it is going to be a long, hard battle to get some credible answers.

Linda's two-cents---

This type of propaganda is promoted by the pharmaceutical companies and physicians that don't want to believe that they delivered doses of poison to defenseless infants.  Of course they are going to keep saying there is no link.  I have no faith in the media nor do I have faith in the report that state that Wakefield's research was fraudulent.  I witnessed a perfectly healthy child, expressive, happy and outgoing, withdraw, become hostile and lose language after receiving multiple childhood vaccines.  I do think there is a correlation.  I don't know what but thousands of incidents can't be just written off.  If parents do decide to vaccinate their children, they should make sure they know what's in the vaccine and only vaccinate when the child is older.  I only say that because I know some will want to vaccinate... I personally would avoid vaccinations at any time and that includes flu shots and any other new vaccines they are dispensing to our young females and others.  Remember medicine is a practice.  Experiments sometimes work and sometimes they cause side effects that we have to deal with because a guessing game is being played.  I guess everyone has to make their own decision.
