You may or may not remember the story of Neli,( Lisa Alexander from A Voice for Neli/Fight Against Autism and Polic...) a young adult with autism who was arrested by police and has been going through a terribly traumatic time since then.  If training is made available nationwide for our law enforcement to identify behaviors and deal with each person individually, these type of mistakes can be minimized and hopefully avoided.  In Chester County, Susan Ruczidlo worked with law enforcement agencies to initiate the Premise alert system.  Parents and caregivers can supply information to their local law enforcement agencies which can ease the anxiety for everyone involved when the need to approach an individual with in the database.  I hope everyone is aware of this system.
